I just bought a new Precision workstation and the salseman talk me into also buying Venue tablet. It was the first time I had head of the Dell tablets. So when I so when I got it it was a Venue 7/8. So what does this mean? I didn't know there were any other versions. So should I send it back and get a newer version?

The Venue 7 = 7" and Venue 8 = 8". The Venue series comes in either Windows or Android versions. Your version is the Android version. They are the latest tablets from Dell, so there is no "newer" model.
