Dell Streak 5 Improvements
Hi,
I am a happy owner of a D.Streak 5 but I still think the device needs some tweaks to make the user experience better. I hope there is someone at Dell reading the forums because it seems no moderators are posting in this section for a long time!!!!! After the upgrade from 1.6 to 2.2, I have noticed the volume has Drastically been lowered and this is a real let down for a multimedia device!! There have been a lot of users complaining over this problem all over the internet and over the forums of Xda Developers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=695).
My 2nd problem which is the worst thing on the D.Streak 5 is the Auto-Rotating feature. This is very frustrating when the screen switches to landscape whenever I bend the phone a little bit and had to toggle back the phone to get back to Portrait! There should be an option to let users use PORTRAIT mode ONLY instead of the Auto-Rotating feature! Again, there are a lot of people who want this feature and I hope that DELL would listen or read the various comments of Dell Streak 5 users to make the device a better one!

Yep its a shame Dell and/or ATT roll out something that actually degrades the phone device. which 2.2 Build Number did you upgrade to ? When I upgraded from 1.6 (not sure the build #) to Android 2.2 (Build 14844) the volume was excellent! crisp and very loud. Then came along the fake 2.2.2 upgrade which was really 2.2 ( build num er 15697). THIS build updated on my device and now my volume is the pits! i am curious to know which build you have/ I am going to have to root my phone so to roll back to 14844 (so to get a back all the resources and proper settings including volume)

Rico ANDROID, i'm on latest official build for unlocked devices - Firmware 351 Build 15609 (Android Version 2.2.2). Using for some weeks now, it's really smooth and no lag when recording videos - changed launcher to ADW LAUNCHER on the market.
