Dell Venue 7 Clock/Web Browser Issues
So my new (1 month old) Venue 7's clock keeps messing up - it will just start running fast, sometimes up to 45 minutes fast. I've tried different settings, called technical support the other night (and they had me do the power + volume down button) and even did a factory reset on it. The other issue is with webrowser, the screen will flicker and just stay white. It might do that 1-3 times after you "refresh" the webpage.
Are these known issues or do I have a defective device?

Hi,
I have the same time issue with my son's New Dell Venue 7.
When the tablet wakes up from sleeping, the time is wrong. Only a reboot will fix the issue.
The defect is probably due to Android KitKat 4.4.2 ...

I am also having the same issue. When I set the clock to automatically set clock it's the wrong time and when I set it manually it works while powered on but not after I turn it off or it sleeps. Irritating.

I'm having this same issue, except I have 300 of these devices and they're the new Dell Venue 7 that was released in August.
All of these devices arrived with Venue 7 3740_V1.38_120516-NoModem, and Firmware 0005.1FCD, Android Version 4.4.2. When I select 'System Update', it tells me there's a firmware update. After updating firmware, I select System Update again, and it tells me there's another firmware update.
After updating again, I end up on Android Version 4.4.4, Firmware version ooo5.21B4, and Software Version Venue 7 3740_V1.75_140820-NoModem.
I select System Update again and it tells me, "There is no available update package."
I'm told this issue is fixed in version V253, but I can't seem to get there. Thoughts, anyone?

I updated and fixed clock problem, but another problem with video recording. When i stick Enhance video quality in Setting, taking video, it's okay, but can't play that video in landscape. The display have many stripes. I changed my tablet by other one, but still have that problem. Anybody try and see that problem?

I too am unable to get the update. After spending quite some time on the phone with support and them unable to determine the problem I did some searching myself and found the cause of the issue on Dell's site (weird the support tech couldn't find it). After talking with support again, we decided to factory reset the tablet (venue 7) to see if anything installed on the tablet was causing issues. After factory resetting, I made sure not to log in with my google account. The tablet is a fresh dell only OS with nothing installed. Still getting "there is no available update package" every time I try to do a system update. I've tried getting the update on multiple networks just to make sure it wasn't my home network.
Support is now saying (after another week of research) that I need to send the tablet in on my dime to have them fix their obvious problem. Hoping someone here has a resolution on how to get this update that will fix the issue.

Hey
I'm from Iran
When I insert sim in to the tablet , wi-fi is down and after change the country to united state or Canada or other countries and reset the tablet this problem is solved.
But any time I replace sim or power off the device or disconnect from wi-fi and reconnect it , country code automatic change to ir (iran) and I can’t see available wi-fi in range.
This is a big problem with android 4.4.2 and higher versions in my country and any of people who lived in iran.
But in previous versions such as 4.2.2 or 4.3 in other devices ( Samsung , Asus , Lenovo , ….. ), it is regular connect to wi-fi without any bug or problems.
Is there any certificate or software to solve this problem?
Or we should think dell venue 7 3740 is the worst tablet in the world without any support or bug fix for Consumers
sorry for poor spelling english
