Dell venue 8 pre Keyboard problems
There is problem a simple solution to this simple problem but hours of looking I have found nothing I got a dell ensue 8 pro. there is now up or down arrow on the on screen keyboard how could the make such a good device but overlook such a small but important detail!

Solution -
Charms Bar....
Settings | Change PC settings | PC and devices | Typing....
Scroll to bottom, under 'Touch keyboard' items turn on 'Add the standard keyboard layout as a touch keyboard option'
Now when you use the touch(onscreen) keyboard.... in the lower right corner of the onscreen keyboard, select the keyboard layout icon. The full standard keyboard layout will now be selectable there(far right) as an option....complete with up and down arrows.

But I do agree with the OP: the "regular" on-screen keyboard is missing some beneficial keys that easily could and should be added: e.g. up/down, alt - fn - Windows key. How about as alternate key choices, which so often aren't made use of (the kind that when you hold a key down, you get other options)? Such as, up and down as alternates for the left and right keys?

I really do appreciate the help if I spent at least 3 hours looking around the web lol. Windows 8 is a hole different world then XP and vista witch I started on.
