Mail, calendar, people app

I bought a DV8P 64, in august last year.  A few months ago, the mail app stopped updating.  The live tile will show incoming mail, but it appears that the inbox will not sync...  

I've tried rebooting, resetting (hard and soft), any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
