Is the version of Microsoft Office supplied with the Dell Venue 8 Pro a trial version or the full version?

I've got on my Dv8P....
Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 - en us
v15.0.4649.1003
It is not a trial version.

Not sure about the Trial version. My guess would be that it would offer for you to buy at the trail end date.
You might try this page where you can enter the activation code:
https://officesetup.getmicrosoftkey.com/
Searching online solutions suggest uninstalling Office and re-installing or failing that to contact Microsoft Office activation support:

Many thanks, Kavu - that's what I understood when I ordered the tablet. However, when I touched the Microsoft Office icon it took me to a window with three options: Buy, Activate and Trial version. I tried, several times, to activate using the supplied key but it failed (see my earlier post). So I tried the trial button and this has installed MO successfully. I wonder if I have done the right thing - is it a full install? will it stop working after 30 days and if so, will it then accept the key I already have? All advice welcomed.

Many thanks, indeed, Kavu. Using the URL you supplied revealed the problem which was that the McAffee virus protection was the problem. When I turned it off, installation of Microsoft Office was no problem at all whereas using the icon link which came with the tablet just resulted in a hang. Using the link you supplied suggested reasons why the download failed and enabled me to find the problem.
