Mobile Keyboard Dock questions

Hello, I have just received my venue pro 11 and I absolutely love it. I just have a few questions about the Mobile keyboard dock, the one with the battery.  First off, what is the charging behavior with it and the tablet?  I know that when you have the two docked, the keyboard drains first, then tablet.  What if I take the tablet off and use it for a bit, then reattach?  Does the tablet recharge back up to 100% from the keyboard dock or is the only way it charges back up is through plugging it in?  Not a deal breaker, but that would be a very nice option.  Second, what are the dimensions of the tablet and dock when it is closed?  I am going to order a new sleeve soon and want enough space for the tablet/keyboard combo.   Thanks to everyone in advance!
