Playing video from file stored in micro SD card problem

I bought a cheap 32gb micro SD card which stores my video files and frees up space on my tablet. Not all the videos play via the standard windows video player. I experimented and tried taking the files out of the micro SD and onto the desktop and played them from there and they worked. So is it that the micro SD card is not good enough or that there is problems with dell venue 8 ability to play videos direct from micro SD? That is my question. Your help would be very much appreciated.

When you say "standard windows video player", I assume you mean Microsoft Video? I occasionally have problems with Video player too, but Windows Media Player can play the video fine, can you try that? To use Windows Media player, right click on the video file, choose open with, and select Windows Media Player. - Woody

Thank you. I think the micro SD card is to blame. Its only allowing me 4gb of useable space out of 32gb! Its not good. You get what you pay for!
