Problems Connecting a 2nd Monitor to My Dell Tablet Dock

I purchased the Dell Tablet Dock last years from the Microsoft Store along with my Dell Venue 11 Pro (7130-i5), and stylist pen.

Until last week, the Dell Tablet Dock was used at home was connected to one monitor via the HDMI port. Recently I purchase a 2nd monitor and tried to connect it to my Dell Tablet Dock. Both monitors only have HDMI and VGA inputs so I purchased a 'Display Port to DVI Active cable/adapter', per information I found on the Dell site, to connect the 2nd monitor to the dock but I still can't get any video out of the Display Port to the new monitor. Further research indicated that the early batch of Dell Tablet Dock's had bad Display Port's in them and Dell 'proactively' replaced them. Only problem is, they only replaced them if you purchased them directly from Dell and not from one of their business partners like I did.

I called Dell and sent them a copy of my invoice from the Microsoft Store that showed the date I purchased it, and because it has been over a year since I purchased the Dell Tablet Dock, they won't help me.

Does anyone know what I can do to get the port fixed or the dock replaced, or how I can contact someone from Dell Corporate to discuss my problem. I know I'm only one little Dell customer, but if they keep producing bad equipment and treat us like this, there won't be any of us 'little' Dell customers left.

Anyone have any suggestions?

By any chance, did you purchase using a credit card which might double the warranty?  If so, speak with your credit card company about your remedy--presumably, a replacement.

I did but it doesn't extend the warranty. I finally got this escalated to Corporate and they are now requesting a photo of the bottom of the dock to prove it is one of the first ones they distributed and replaced.

Hopefully they will replace it because one of the links I sent them was one from the Dell knowledge base site that states there is a problem with the Displayport on the version of the dock I have. We'll see. This will help determine if I ever buy another Dell product or recommend Dell again.
