Venue 11 Pro Wireless 1538 WiFi/BT Driver Issue
Back about a week ago, my tablet was unable to find any wifi routers to connect to. I did not turn wireless off, and my phone was able to pick up wireless signals. I googled my problem and found out that the Venue 8 Pro had a similar problem where Windows updates messed up any attempts to connect to wifi for whatever reason, but was unable to find any help for my Venue 11 Pro. I ended up uninstalling all Windows updates and restarting my computer just in case -- didn't work. I deleted the driver using the Device Manager, restarted, then had the Device Manager reinstall the driver -- didn't work. At this point, I downloaded the driver install file from Dell's website and did a complete uninstall of my existing wireless driver, then I re-installed it with the .exe provided by Dell. That worked, and I thought my problem was just an anomaly and that it was solved for good. I redownloaded the Windows updates and there was no issue.
Today during one of my classes, I opened my tablet (it's attached to the mobile keyboard) and went to check my emails. Strangely, my internet was kaput. It wouldn't find any access points, just like last time. My phone had no trouble, however. I reinstalled the driver using the solution above and it works fine now. But now I wonder why my driver keeps failing. Is it fetching an update and the update somehow corrupts my driver? I don't know, but it's annoying. I cannot reproduce this behaviour as I have no idea what would cause it to do this in the first place.
Has this issue been reported before? Is there a fix? I don't want to keep on reinstalling the driver, as that's not really a "fix", but more a workaround until the next time it happens.
Thanks.

We have the mobile keyboard that is suppose to increase the battery life by 50%. I brought it to work and left it in sleep mode for about 9 hours, did not see a significant power drain. Another thing we also noticed is that we have a Fitbit dongle plugged into the USB port and with the fix it now sync's without issue, before the the fix it wouldn't sync.
I also forgot to mention, there was also a patch that was talked about earlier in this thread, I did try it but it did nothing.

My unit's been having wifi issues out of the box. I've tried a factory reset and installing the updated wifi driver to no avail. On a related note, bluetooth seems to work with the newest driver but is issue-ridden with the factory driver. I've tried the ePSA test and it passed, although I skipped the memory test and the WLAN seems to be showing as enabled in the BIOS. I've updated the BIOS to A05 and the issue is still there. I finally just completely uninstalled the wifi driver and interestingly, there is no "?" or "unknown device" showing in the device manager. So I'm just trying to resolve the confusion as to whether this is a software or hardware issue for starters and then ultimately how to get my wifi running again. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi All,
I was having lots of issues with my WiFi on my 5130 mainly around "limited connection.
I disabled 5ghz on my bt homehub 5 which solved my problems.
Of course I have all the other problems still, like freezing, keyboard repeat and horrible microphone.

My wifi is completely shot. I've had the device since the end of December (ordered around Black Friday), but have never had wifi issues (lots of the other ones, though). The network adapter shows that it's installed correctly in the device manager, but the network connections show no connectivity. When troubleshooting, it says that the wifi adapter appears to have an issue. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the device (and driver) 3 times, restarted, attempted 2 unsuccessful system restore's (those have never worked on my device), etc.

I've had to reinstall the wireless driver twice, this time around I uninstalled that completely and hope that does it otherwise they have to work on a patch. My 64 gig Dell Venue does not do this only my 32 gig. Strange that the 64 gig is fine. Anyone else have this issue with just the 32 gig?

Amazing, how such company as Dell can sell such unfinished device...
I have same probelm with WiFi - every morning I have to re-connect my WiFi to have an Internet access.
I was trying different tips from this thread with power setting etc but nothing helps...

Yep I am having the same problem with my Venue 8 Pro. Support has already replaced one of them. This is a total failure on the part of Dell and Microsoft. I am about to contact the <ADMIN NOTE: Substitute character removed as per TOU>about it.

What I have seen on a V8P is that connecting to a wireless G router is working fine, connection is stable and even coming out of extended sleep period.(tested on several router/network) But wireless N network/router seems to have issues(at least mine). Driver update did nothing for limited connection coming out of extended sleep period (Wireless N).

I have exactly the same problem. Intermittently the connection will show up as Limited. Although I have only experienced this on a WPA2 Enterprise network. I have tried everything and I am about to send the V8Pro back to Dell.

Did you ever get a fox to this issue? I have the exact same problem.
