Venue 8 7840 Setup problem
I just picked up a new Dell Venue 8 7840 Android Tablet today and seem to be stuck in a loop trying to set up the device. I had no problems with previous Dell Venue devices but this has me stumped.
I would like to know how to RESET THE HARDWARE and start clean OR have a way to be able to use this tablet.
I POWER ON and I get the
Dell Venue 8 7840 Welcome screen
I take the default English options and
Push the NEXT button.
I get the
SELECT WiFi screen and successfully connect to my wifi
The process goes to the
DELL LEGAL Screen
I agree and push NEXT
Which takes me to the screen to
LINK TO YO)UR SOCIAL SPACES
PICASA PHOTOS
FACECBOOK PHOTOS
DROPBOX PHOTOS
I press the DONE button and I am taken back to the
DELL LEGAL page.
Which repeats forever.

I was able to get this working.
I tried again in a different location where there was no network access. When the tablet demanded that I connect to the network, I just selected one of the routers and tried to connect to a router a couple times. On the 3rd failure, the tablet broke out of the loop and continued through the setup routine.
If you get into this loop, just select a router that you don't know the password for.
