Venus 11 + Active Stylus = NOTHING
Battery IS the right one - it came in the box.
It IS inserted the right way - I can read + on stylus and battery and can match them!
Point IS pushed all the way into the "nib" housing.
I do see a circle when the tip is over a UI button - on this site and others.
Whichever stylus button click is applied, or a tap-on-screen,produces nothing at all.
The stylus was ordered at the same time as the tablet, under the add-ons, specific to this tablet.
Why will it not work on the device for which it was designed/calibrated/acquired?
NONE of the other posts have helped with diagnostics.
Are there drivers? What else?
Freehand drawing in OneNote s/b a simple enough thing to do, but no dice! Nothing. Is the stylus DEFECTIVE?
Is the tablet screen defective?
???????

Having worked through everything that the tablet have configuration-wise and exercised it with Dell Support on the phone, the conclusion was "replace it", which they did and the next day had a fully operational stylus in my hand. Nice one Dell, great service.

I just read this and I have the exact same problem. The difference is that I am using the Venue 8 7000 with the 750-aagn Active Stylus which I am guessing is the stylus SAINCA also got. I don't think the tablet is defective, but the stylus itself. The touch screen on my venue 8 7000 works just fine with my fingers, a targus stylus and a jotpro one.
