Assistance Needed for Reconfiguring RAID on Dell SCV3020
Hello,
I have a Dell SCV3020 storage array with two types of drives: SAS HDDs and SAS SSDs. I currently have a volume created on the SSD storage.
I would like to reconfigure the SSD storage with a new RAID configuration and then create a new volume. Could you please guide me on the steps or best practices to achieve this?
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Nabil

Based on the disk types these disks are assign to TIERs. Your SSD are Tier1 and the spinning drives are Tier3.
Per Tier you configured (during initialization of the unit, can be lifted up later) a Redundancy level which means Single (RAID10,RAID5) or Double (Dual RAID10 and RAID6).
If the volumes than created you can assign one of the 3 default Storage Profiles or created your own ones.
These Storage profiles define how incoming Data is saved.
The default behaviour is TIER1 RAID10->R5 and when data is aged Tier3 R5 when both TIERs are configured for single Redundancy.
So....
Regards,
Joerg
