Compute performance from Unity .archive file
I'm using the .archive files to generate performance metrics does anyone know if there is any documentation of the metrics or a utility
For example I'm using spa_cpu_summary_busyticks/spa_cpu_summary_idleticks from the sample_10 table to calculate spa % utilization and it's close but doesn't quite match the direct report from the console
I also need to calculate IO/s & BW
Thanks

Thanks Sam
I'll read through those links but is there any documentation on the archive themselves in particular the data model and attribute definition for the sample_10...... tables that are in there ?
For example the sample 0 entries seem to be a running total, from when (power on) ? so I see I can get the real on the hour value by subtracting the sample 0 entry from the previous file.
It would be good if these are documented or if there is a tool to read them directly

Hello MikeAJ,
I have not found any other links that explain more about sample 10. Here are the only other link that I have come across. You may want to open a support case for this as well.

Sam,
Thanks the 1st one "Dell EMC Unity: How to gather the necessary information for a Unity performance analysis" has some links to tools but the links don't work
e.g. these look useful - are these Dell Intranet links or is there a new location ?
Unity Performance Analyzer (UPA) this is a http based tool that allows you to open a UPA file similar to Analyzer for VNX. This tool is available at:
Selleck this is an Excel based tool that will take the data in a UPA file and load it into an Excel spreadsheet. This tool provides a very detailed look at the data. This tool in available at One|Tools in the Downloads/Post-sales folder:

Hello MikeAJ,
Unity Performance Analyzer is an internal tool that is used by support. I don’t have access to Selleck so I am guessing that one is as well an internal tool.
