ISCSI Best Practices

I propose two VLANs setup (4paths configuration) but the client is saying that they prefer to setup iSCSI with only a single VLAN.

They bound the two network ports at the host side and only want a single VLAN setup.  I have highlighted the redundancy is done using multi-pathing so they do not need the network bounding.  What could be the potential issue with this kind of setup?  Both network ports are bounded as one interface I will assume it only has 1 IP address and 1 mac address.  Through in theory this should work.

Hi,

To achieve optimal iSCSI performance, use separate networks and VLANs to separate iSCSI traffic from normal network traffic. Configure standard 802.3x Flow Control (Pause or Link Pause) on all iSCSI Initiator and Target ports that are connected to the dedicated iSCSI VLAN.
