Yeah Active-Active with ALUA technology and the LUN also be owned by single SP. What I knew is, In Unity by default it will be distribute across both SPs.
If I'm wrong can you help me with the procedures for LUN (existing & new) to be balanced across SPs?
Unity is Active-Active system, it doesn't have the concept of owner on each LUN. The architecture of Unity is different with VNX systems.
while the controllers are active-active the LUNs are still ALUA so there is the concept of a LUN owner - which you can see and change in the LUN properties

yes you should have your LUNs distibuted across both SP's so that both are utilized

not required to create separate LUN for each SPs. If you create a LUN on SPA, it will be shared with peer SPB also.
Unity SPs works on Active-Active controller.

while controllers are active-active a single LUN is ALUA
a specific LUN is owned by one controller that advertises the optimized path and the other SP provides access through a non-optimized path.
So if you want to balance SP usage you should distribute your LUNs between SP's
similar as on VNX

not sure what you would need a procedure for
by default the SP ownership gets altenated when you create LUNs
You can use Unisphere or the CLI to look at the SP ownership and change it via the LUN properties if you want it differently

If not please share the procedure how to distribute LUN across the SPs. Hope this makes sense

with balancing I mean is to rearrange the LUN ownership
by default the first LUN created is owned by SPA, the 2nd by SPB, the 3rd by SPA and so on
that is fine if your LUNs have all have a similar I/O load or if the I/O load to all the LUNs on SPA is similar to the one's on SPB
If not you would use the performance measurement tools and reports to find out which LUNs would should be better reassigned to the other SP

Thank you for your info, I overlook the setting on the LUN.

you're welcome
you wont see this when creating a LUN - there we do round-robin on the SP ownership
