Replication with 2 system
I have installed and configured the replication IPs; two questions:
Can I perform a automatic failover between the two systems in the event of a failure of the primary?
On the primary system I already have data; can I configure replication at the Consistency Group (CG) level, or do I need to recreate the LUNs?

Auto failover is not possible with normal Unity Sync Replication. You would need Metro Nodes or VPLEX on top for that, with a Witness server, too. You have to manually promote the secondary side for normal SyncRep, because there is no way for the secondary site to differentiate between if the primary has actually failed, or if the link between the systems has gone down.
You should be able to replicate existing LUNs with consistency groups.
