Hello rwcoon,
Which Unity system do you have and what is your current OE?

Hello rwcoon,
Here is a link to a kb that maybe of assistance.
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000018922/dell-emc-unity-how-to-configure-snmp-alerts-in-unity-user-correctable
With a Unity system you can only configure traps, the kb linked above explains.

@DELL-Sam L I appreciate the feedback. Once we have configured as mentioned in the provided article, we are able to send the test, and the unity indicates it was successful, however our partner is receiving nothing at the SNMP gateway. They want me to grant them full access to the Unity to troubleshoot, but I would prefer to not do that.

Hello rwcoon,
Since it works with the steps provided, their has to be something different in their environment that is blocking the SNMP traps from working and coming back successful. I would not grant full access to the unity system as they can harm their data if they do something wrong. Are they getting any error messages from the SNMP gateway or from the SNMP test when they try to perform them?

Unity can only send SNMP traps.
You cannot query Unity with SNMP.
Zabbix, PRTG and others circumvent this restriction with logging into the SSH or HTTPS management and parsing the output.
