Storage Data Transfer
Hello, I am running a virtual environment using XenServer. This setup is in a pool of four Dell R910 hosts. sharing storage over a Dell Unity 300 hybrid. We recently purchased another Dell Unity 300 and it has also been joined to the same pool. Currently no data on this unit. I would like to move all the storage data from the first storage to the new one. I managed to move a few over ISCSI but the vm's with multiple disks seem to be a problem. They keep failing after several hours. I was just wondering is there a way that i can move these vdi's using a back-back connection over FC? Both units have FC ports but i am not sure if that is possible. if so how do i go about it?

You could setup a sync replication via FC or an async replication via ISCSI
see the Unity replication white paper and manual for details
In both cases you probably need to shutdown your VM before you failover and then rediscover and start again
I would suggest to troubleshoot why your migrations are failing. I dont have experience with XenServer but similar storage vMotion with vmWare does work - if not there is a problem in your environment
