Dell EMC Unity & Unity XT storage systems use their own unique drive part numbers
and ordering models. Moving or using Unity DAE’s and drives in Unity XT arrays is not supported at this
time.

Here is the link to the EMC Unity™ Storage Systems Drive and OE Compatibility Matrix, as long as the drive is listed on this document then you can use it on your Unity 300.

Hi Sam,

the document is old, the Unity XT380 did not exist at the date of publication of the document.

My question is whether the D4-2S10-1200 (HDD 1.2TB for Unity 380XT) is compatible with the Unity 300 OE version 5 array ?
