If the NAS Server is joined to the domain, I'm not sure the local Administrator account is even allowed. You'd need domain admin, or a domain user that has local admin rights on that NAS server (by default, after a domain join, only domain admins have local Admin rights on a Unity NAS server). The admin user for Unisphere has nothing to do with users on the NAS Server.
Ah, right. I tried it with a domain admin account, as well, with the same results, I don't remember if that made it into my problem description. Thanks!

Hi,
I think you have tried all of the basic troubleshooting steps, calling phone support is probably the best option.

I don't think you were ever allowed to log in as admin via SSH on the Unity. Service is the only user allowed.
Not sure about your SMB issues. There was a problem with SMB dialects with certain versions of Windows 10 and Server 2019.

And thanks for the extra link, too.
