Unity provisioned LUN showing I/O errors in VMware hosts
A LUN was provisioned to VMware hosts from a Unity 300 storage array. One datastore was created from the provisioned LUN. Recently, the datastore became inaccessible. A reboot of the ESXi host , and rescan of the adapters and storage didn't bring it back. So the LUN is still seen under devices, but nothing in datastores. Looking at the ESXi host, there are I/O errors seen.
From vmkernel.log

Tried running a few commands to check on the partition table.
partedUtil getptbl "vmfs/devices/disks/naa.6006016073c04200e0d3975bc7aa848f"

Unknown partition table on disk vmfs/devices/disks/naa.6006016073c04200e0d3975bc7aa848f
Same error messages are seen on all hosts that have the datastore.
VMware team said the error is coming from storage side. But I can't see any error on the LUN when I check the Unisphere.
What could be causing that?

Hi,
Do the logs show any errors in Unisphere at all? Do you have a backup?
