UnityVSA Community Edition Download Link

Hi,

I'd like to deploy Dell UnityVSA Community Edition in my virtual Environment for testing purposes. I cannot find a working download URL

Could you please provide:
1. A current working download link for the UnityVSA CE OVA (latest version, 5.4.x / 5.5.x)
2. The Community Edition license file/key

Thanks for help

    Hello pfannentopf,

I sent you the link to your email address that is on file with us. Currently the license server is unable to provide license for Community Edition. We are currently waiting for an eta for this to be resolved.

    Hello @DELL-Sam L

I am also looking for the Dell UnityVSA Community Edition files for a lab/testing environment.

I currently work for a Dell partner in Brazil, and I would appreciate your help providing the following:

    1. The latest available UnityVSA Community Edition OVA (preferably version 5.4.x or 5.5.x)
    2. The corresponding UnityVSA upgrade/update package, so I can update the appliance to the latest supported version
    3. The Community Edition license file/key, if the licensing service is currently available

The environment will be used strictly for technical lab, testing, and learning purposes.

If the Community Edition license server is still unavailable, I would also appreciate any alternative procedure or temporary licensing option that Dell recommends for lab use.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

    Best regards,
    John

    Hello john.araujo,

I have sent you the link to the download. The License server for Community Edition is down, and currently I haven’t got an eta for it to be resolved. I don't have access to generate a license.

    @DELL-Sam L

Thank you, Sam. I received the download link.

So, just to make sure I understand correctly: at this moment, unfortunately, it is not possible to deploy and use a new UnityVSA Community Edition for testing while the Community Edition license server remains unavailable, correct?

If I proceed with the deployment and provide the System UUID generated by the new UnityVSA, would it be possible for someone from the Dell Licensing / License Operations team to manually generate the license file for that UUID?

I understand that you personally do not have access to generate licenses, but I would like to know whether there is any internal Dell team that could do this manually while the licensing server is down.

This would be used strictly for a non-production lab/testing environment.

If manual generation is not possible, is there any alternative evaluation, demo, NFR, or partner license that could be issued so we can continue testing until the Community Edition licensing service is restored?

Thank you again for your help.

    Hello john.araujo,

That is correct that until the license server can issue a license that you can't use the link I sent you and install it. The Dell license team can only generate a license for Professional and Cloud Edition. Community edition they don't have any licenses.
