Hi Rainer_EMC, you are correct in your suggestion to use a different UUID: I re-deployed the OVA file to acquire a new UUID, which allowed me to get the license.
Unfortunately, I am unable to register the VASA Provider to VMware because the certificate is too old (2015).
I will write another request on how to download the VSA with an UN-expired certificate.
However, I will mark your recommendation "to use a different UUID" as the correct one - which did indeed enable to procure the needed license.

did you already request one for that ESX server ?
you can try to modify to use a different UUID
I think someone posted the instructions here on the forum
