VNX to unity migration

We are planning a file data migration from VNX2 series to Unity 480XT , we have Veritas EV for file archival purpose. The question is , if we migrate the VNX2 series to Unity , how could the old archival files would able to access through unity. How the old checkpoints can be accessible ? what is the procedure here to get it accessed.
