XT480 run: spelcli -getIOModuleStatus on both SP once every 2 seconds.
I have one xt 480, running firmware version 5.4.0.0.5.094, but both SPs are running cmd speclcli -getIOModuleStatus every 2 seconds. Please clarify! Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
Are there any other errors? Are you using a dell transceiver? Can you reboot an SP?
Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Hello, the xt480 was upgraded from firmware version 5.0.0 to 5.4.0.0.5.094 and upgraded 14 disks 7.68TB SAS 12Gb/s on DPE in February 2025.
We rebooted both SPs at this time and saw SP B reporting log High CPU load: 110 in message log. Then we rebooted SP B and that log cleared itself.
Command: speclcli -getIOModuleStatus SP A 2 and speclcli-getIOModuleStatus SPB 2 were also recorded right after the upgrade, not before.
Please clarify for me! Thank you!

The command is checking for the status of i/o modules.

@DELL-Josh Cr hi,
Is this normal process of xt480? Because we don't see this command in previous firmware version? Thanks

Every two seconds seems too often., which is why rebooting an SP may help. May be able to get more info with these commands
To list IOM details
uemcli /env/iomodule show -detail
To list Ethernet Port Details
uemcli /net/port/eth show -detail
To list Fiber channel Port details
uemcli /net/port/fc show -detail
To list SAS Port details
uemcli /net/port/sas show -detail

We see all GOOD notice on Unisphere, no other unusual warnings. Is this a configuration or hardware issue? After reboot, the command still appears on both SPs every 2 second. Thanks

If both SPs are doing it, it probably isn't hardware. You may want to call phone support and have them take a look in detail.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Is this possibly a bug of the OE firmware 5.4.0.0.5.094?

It's possible, but I don't see any other reports of it.
