The geo-distributed feature in ViPR 2.0 provides the following capabilities:
Security configuration propagated across ViPR instances
Single sign on across ViPR instances
Tenants and Projects defined once and accessible across ViPR instances
Consolidated monitoring of resources across ViPR instances ( through ViPR solution pack)
Block and file virtual storage pools are local to a ViPR instance and are not replicated across ViPR instances. However, a single ViPR instance can manage replication/high availability attributes protecting the storage across multiple datacenters/sites.
