no predefined SRM reports

Hello,

I've installed SRM in a lab environment using the 4VM vApp deployment.

In the user interface the predefined reports are not listed e.g. the dashboards, explore, operations, planning are not listed under All reports.

I can only add My Reports to the root node.

Anyone know why this is?

This can happen if there were problems with DNS, Reverse DNS, firewall rules, vShield, and some other things during the vApp deployment.. Ensure that all the VM's can ping and resolve each other..

You can fix the issue through Centralized Management by doing the following...

1)      Navigate to centralized management

2)      Under solution packs > Independent solution pack blocks

3)      Delete the Generic-Reports

4)      Then navigate to solution packs > EMC M&R health.

5)      Delete the Reports on the frontend server

6)      Install M&R Health SP, and push only the Reports again on the frontend host

Oddly our Lab environment corrected itself before I could test it but the first deployment suffered the same issue due to firewall and then reverse name lookup issues.

process above fixed that.
