Alarm Escalation

I would like to set up escalation in our alarms.  For example:  If alarm "a" isn't acknowledges within 30 minutes, escalate the alarm to the next person.

Anyone done this before?  It's a pretty common setup on monitoring tools.  I wouldn't think it would be too hard to do.

Yes, this has been done before by the Quest PSO organization. The solution requires some scripting in a Simple Rule that matches a subset of the current alarms to escalate and generates an email to the appropriate recipient for each one.

You can contact Quest PSO for details, or perhaps someone has a complete solution they can post here.
