Delete old process data

Hi,

I have a small question about deleting old processdata gathered by the Guest Process Investigation cartridge.

I'd enabled the retention policies after a long GPI collection period and according to https://support.quest.com/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL52431 (Cause) old data will not be removed if you enabled the purge after you have collected data with e.g. GPI.

I could delete the data directly from the Data Management Dashboard, but I'm unsure if it is safe,

Is there another, better way to to this?

Cheers!

Erik,

Have you tried the "Expired Data Removal Wizard"?

You can find it under VMware Environment - Administration tab - Review Expired Data.

I have unsuccessfully tried to remove stale objects with this script

https://support.quest.com/Shared/Images/SOL95540_vmonitoring-purge-stale-objects_0.groovy

Anyone know anything about this? I have the same problem with old VMs in an education environment.

How do you guys cleanup your database?

Thanks for the tip!

I've performed a review and cleaned up several VMs, unfortunately the database haven't shrunk that much yet.

If you filter the review with 1 day a lot of VMs appear, does these include the existing VMs and the consesvence would be to delete all existing VMs to?

Another question while I'll have your attention

multipleAgents.png

The picture is showing multiple instances of the fglam. This might be because I have recreated the fglam several times.

The strange thins is that several of them has updated data?

Is it suppossed to look like this or should you have only one instance of the fms and the fglam?

If so how should I know what instance to remove?

Thank for your help!

Kindest regards
