Exchange Active Cluster Monitoring
Hi,
I have an Exchange 2007 CCR cluster that runs Active/Passsive. How do I scope the HostService rule in the Exchange Cartridge to not alarm on certain services on the passive cluster because I know they are going to be stopped? Would I create two set of rules one for Active and one for passive? Does anybody know the propertiy that holds teh state if a mailbox server is active or passive?

Hello sa1george,
We actually have an Enhancement request already logged to not fire alarms for the services on Passive node. This will most likely be implemented in the upcoming version (5.6.3) of the Exchange cartridge. The Release date is not confirmed yet but should be available soon. So if you are willing to wait and check if this version addrsses your issue then that would be one option. Otherwise there is a possible workaround we can try but we will need a WebX meeting to test it out, which means you will need to log a Support case.
