Update vCenter Agent Manager

I know the document is out on the communites site somewhere but unable to find it.

I need to update my vFoglight environment to use a single Foglight Agent Manager host but would like to keep the same agent name to avoid duplicates being created in Foglight.

Can someone provide a link to this document?

Here's the info you probably need.  It's fairly straight-forward.

The FGLAM is the shell program running on the remote server.  It can host multiple Agents.

(We make a habit of creating VMWare Agents with the FQDN for the Agent name as well as for the Agent host name entered in the Agent properties, always all lower case for consistency.   It's best practice, but not absolutely necessary, and in your case you would not want to change from what you already have deployed.)

I believe that the Agent Host Name is the critical piece.

De-activate the agents on the old FGLAM, deploy your new consolidated FGLAM, then re-create your Agents exactly as they were on the new FGLAM.  Activate the new agents, and you should be good to go.  And, in case of issues, you have a ready fall-back position.

Note: The VMWare Agent can pump a LOT of data through it.  Depending on the volume of VMs which you will be collecting through the new FGLAM, you may have to adjust the FGLAM and VMWare Agent settings on the remote host to increase their memory allocation.
