However, you can pull the host/effectiveStartDate, which is the first date that data was collected, which approximates creation date in the case where you had vFoglight running before the VM came up for the first time. Not a great answer, but might help.
The other option is a script agent to collect the data.
I'm actually working on such an agent, to collect this and several other pieces of data we need but which are not currently available. I'll be posting it for others to use when complete.

The creation date is not collected, not sure why.
