I used ad-aware happily for months, until my hard drive had to be replaced and I lost the program. So, I downloaded it again, but it would not install, saying there was a problem. Same thing with Spybot, can't get either to install. Ada-aware will not answer any questions about its free program, so what do I do now? I felt so secure running both these programs evey time I got off the Internet. Help, anyone?

jsthen   can you tell us, EXACTLY, the error messages you're getting (if necessary, try to re-install, and generate the messages again, and copy/paste them back here).   odds are you're missing some 'auxiliary' file needed for installations in general, but more information is necessary to make a determination.

Thanks for the very quick reply, but, amazingly, both programs are now up and running just fine! I have no idea why, I just kept trying different download locations. Anyhow, thanks again!
