Here are several mirrors.

To install, unzip into your Ad-aware directory and restart the program.

After trying majorgeeks, I went to Lavasoft and downloaded 1.06r1 with no trouble.
You said to install, unzip into your Ad-aware directory and restart the program. I downloaded to desktop and after going off line,  + double clicked to install.
If you have the time, and so I can learn, could you explain your process as to how it differs from what I did?
Thank you.

You stated that you had trouble with the updates, so I provided a link with mirrors to download the latest ad-aware reference file. The full program is .exe, and the updates are .zip that need to be extracted in the Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal directory.

Regardless it's nice to see that you rectified the problem. :)

If this is inappropriate please let me know-I am writing to you b/c we had a dialogue about this topic.

I went to the adaware se site and checked faqs about the fact that I had trouble with dowwnloads. I noticed a section that applied to me in that, if you only see 5% + the download stops, the firewall is blocking it.

I have a hardware firewall and had trouble with Mcafee's so I am using the win xp sp2 f-wall. I configured as Lavasoft recommended which is to 'allow' adaware se.

I really am not techy and am asking for an educated opinion re what I have done.

Thank you.
