Chris: Thanks for keeping us informed. It seems like they just can't resist going where the slightly better bucks are. Its really sad that they have to resort to this for a few extra bucks.   :smileysad:

  Ben Edelman has a lot to say about WhenU, including Advertisers Using WhenU.   Ben also documents privacy concerns and security concerns associated with WhenU’s software.

===== quotes==========
The presidential election has nothing on the debates in the anti-spyware industry. An announcement last week from adware vendor WhenU and anti-spyware company Aluria Software has raised red flags in the anti-spyware community.
====================
"Aluria has gone almost immediately from targeting WhenU as spyware to the next day having a partnership," said Mike Healan, editor of SpywareInfo.com. Healan said he has de-listed Aluria, no longer recommending or linking to the company from his site. ====================
"We're sticking our necks out there," said Rick Carlson, president of Aluria Software. He said desktop advertising is a legitimate business if it is held to standards, and Aluria has taken an approach not yet seen in the industry.
"We're protecting consumers in a different way; it's absolutely contrary to what others [anti-spyware firms] are doing," he said.

My comment.

They have certainly put thier neck out, lets hope for thier sakes it was not into a noose.
As it stands now I too cannot recommend them to any prospective cutomers of anti-malware products.
