Another HiJackThis Question
All righty then...as the the saying goes. I have the Hijack This-v1.98.2 file residing on both my desktop
and in My Documents. Can't figure out how to get it into the folder I created for it!!
My question is...if I push "Scan" will it also try to fix things, or just generate the log. I've looked at the long list of instructions and descriptions and do not want to mess things up. Thanks for any advice

Hi dalem, The newest version of HJT will create it's own folder on the desktop. Double click on that icon to see if the HJT.exe opens. There is no longer a problem with running it from there, as the files and backups created will store in the folder instead of all over the desktop. I am going to give you several links with different perspectives for getting a HJT log posted at a forum. If, after viewing these tutorials you still have questions, please post them. Here is a little information about that item. I would suggest that I rarely see one item in a HJT log. Would be a good idea to have someone take a look...pskelley
