Backdoor.Trojan Help

Hi Texruss,

As odd as this sounds...my Backdoor.Trojan is gone! Actually, I noticed that the NAV virus popup window was displaying the same sqlgjni.dll file, but the virus name was now listed as the Backdoor.Agent.B virus. I clicked the link to Symantec's site

and found the the virus was discovered on July 21,2004. That was the day after I was infected. Symantec advised that initially NAV would detect the virus as Backdoor.Trojan, as mine had done. The LiveUpdate virus definitions were finally updated on July 28. Included in the information was removal directions, which worked for me.

I really do thank you for all the help. You also helped me learn more about my computer through the instructions and information that you passed on to me, and how to better protect my machine.
