Bank data breached

Flagstar Bank reported that personal info, including Social Security numbers, from more than 1.5 Million customers was breached. The report says the breach probably started in Dec, 2021, but wasn't detected until early June, 2022.

Read the breach notification sent to the Maine Attorney General here.  Identity theft protection will be offered to affected Flagstar customers, presumably all of them, not just those in Maine.
