Blazefind is killing me here

First you need to move hijackthis to a non temporary folder.  Just copy and past it to a folder you create on your hard drive such a c:\hjt

Then close all windows and have hijackthis fix the following:

I have never been a fan of McAfee or Norton.  I use NOD32 for antivirus.  I also use the programs below my signature and have never had an issue with any spyware, virus, trojans etc.  I also don't use any instant messengers or file sharing programs.

It looks OK now.  Sorry I missed it on the first pass.

Also, while I've got you here lol, I'm curious as to a file that was place on my desktop after I disabled hidden files.

It's a .ini file named desktop.ini and when I double click it it'll open up notepad and display the following message:

Nice...I thoroughly appreciate the help - I've got Macafee but am switching to Norton's now....and I run AdAaware all the time on this PC - I never saw it coming...though from what I've read this same worm (? whatever you call it) was the one being passed around AIM's profiles?  I've got Spybot on my PC at home as well as Adaware and Macafee but I'm disappointed in Macafee now.  The PC I'm on now is connected to a college network so I guess I should have expected it, though I use no P2P programs and am very selective about which sites I access and which files I download, along with email - Just goes to show you that you can never be too careful, eh?

Anyway, I thank you again as this experience has been MUCH easier to understand and appreciate than a phonecall to Dell - To put it simply, you can't understand them and they can't understand you, on the phone.

It is not anything to worry about.  Do a google search on desktop.ini and read all you want.

Don't delete it.  You can read more about it here.
