cannot delete new_net.exe (adware.NdotNet)
My Norton Antivirus cannot get rid of the new_net.exe file which is an adware.NdotNet (threat name). It cannot delete the file and when I try to delete it manually, i cannot seem to find it.
The message says the following: "The file C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\nso2B8.tmp\new_net.exe is a Adware threat." I cannot seem to locate where this file is.. there is no "local settings" can anybody help?

It's a hidden folder.
Show hidden files and folders
Open Windows Explorer: type the word explorer at Start/Run box and click OK: drill on down to that folder.
But before you do that...look for the uninstall applet for NewDotNet...details at:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\nso2B8.tmp\new_net.exe
Hidden folder... you must turn on the settings described in my link for Hidden files in the previous message. Then you can delete all the files in the temp folder using Windows Explorer (the Windows File Manager which you invoke by typing explorer at the Start/Run button)
Or run Disk Cleaner (type cleanmgr at Start/Run button and click OK). Have Disk Cleaner scan hard drive and then remove all the temp files it finds at the end of the scan.
The Uninstall for newdotnet:
Removal
If you have the variant that installs into Program Files, open the 'NewDotNet' folder in Program Files and run the 'uninstall' program. If this folder does not exist, try opening the Control Panel and looking in the 'Add/Remove Programs' list.
