Cannot uninstall "System Alert Popup"
Hi, I've been uninstalling programs that I don't need anymore lately, and there is one program that won't uninstall. It is called "System Alert Popup." I've done some web research on it, and figured out that it usually is associated with spyware and malware. When I click uninstall, it says that I have to restart my computer prior to uninstallation. So I do this, and then, I still can't uninstall it and it tells me to do the exact same thing again. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? I've already got rid of the spyware with Spyware Doctor, and scanned the computer for viruses with McAfee. Can someone please help with how to get rid of this, as it is takingup 3000mbs of my drive.

Try running Rogue Remover. It is compatible with Windows 2000, NT, XP.
You can download RogueRemover from the link below.
http://www.malwarebytes.org/rogueremover.php
Unzip to a convenient location such as C:\RogueRemover.
Disable your Spyware Doctor before you run RogueRemover, or it may interfere.
1. First, disable the OnGuard Tools. This way, when you exit Spyware Doctor, these tools won't stay resident in the background.
2. Click the "Settings" button on the left side.
3. Click the "Startup Settings" link.
4. Uncheck "Run at Windows Startup".
5. Click the "Apply" button.
Exit by a right-click on the "Spyware Doctor" icon in the system tray and choose "Exit".
[To enable Spyware Doctor when you are finished, open the program, Settings>Startup Settings> CHECK "Run at Windows Startup">APPLY
Exit. Reboot.]
To disable PCTools Browser Monitor: If you are running Internet Explorer, click Tools > Manage Add-ons. If PCTools Browser Monitor is on the list, click it & select Disable. You will need to restart your browser after making the change.
Navigate to the folder you unzipped the RogueRemover files to and double click on the file named RogueRemover.exe.
Finally, select Scan and the program will walk you through the remaining steps.
If that does not work, please post a Hijackthis log on the HijackThis board here so an analyst can help you with manual cleaning:
