Get a copy of winsockxpfix.exe before you do anything. This is just a safety
item in case you can't get on the internet afterwards. You don't run it until
afterwards and then only if you can't get back on the internet.
You just run it and things should work OK after it reboots your system.

Get DelDomain.inf from:

http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/restricted.htm  and then right click on it and Install.

Now get Pocket Killbox

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/killbox.php

and unpack it to your desktop.

Download the Hoster from:
Unpack to your desktop and run it.

Shutdown and Restart and Boot into Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key when you see the PC
maker's logo.
Keep tapping until it tells you it is going to Safe Mode or you see the Safe
Mode menu. Select the top option.
Run HijackThis and just do a Scan only. Check then Fix
Checked the following:

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)

F3 - REG:win.ini: load=C:\\safe.exe
O16 - DPF: {9522B3FB-7A2B-4646-8AF6-36E7F593073C} (cpbrkpie Control) - http://a19.g.akamai.net/7/19/7125/1437/ftp.coupons.com/v3123/cpbrkpie.cab

Wait 60 seconds and repeat the scan. Did safe.exe come back? IF so
leave HijackThis up and right click on the clock and select Task Manager. Then
Processes. Find Explorer.exe, right click on it and select End Process. The
desktop will disappear but HijackThis should still be there. IF you don't see
it switch to Applications in Task Manager and highlight it there then press
Switch To or just double click on it. Check and Fix Checked the above again.
Restart Explorer by Task Manager, File, New Task(Run), explorer.exe, OK.

Now run killbox.exe. Select Tools, Delete Temp Files.
Then put C:\safe.exe in the box where it says Full Path of File to Delete
and hit the red button.
If it can't find the file that means that HiajckTHis got it so don't
worry about it.  If it found it but can't delete it then check the
Delete on Reboot box and try again.  Let it reboot.
Reboot into regular mode and install deldomain.inf and run hoster
just to make sure.  Wouldn't hurt to also install Spyware Blaster
and IE-SPYADS from the links on the same page.  Also get
Spybot Search and Destroy from:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/
and let it immunize your system.  That will put a list of nasty sites in your hosts file
but they will all point to 127.0.0.1 so you can't accidentally go to them.

Run another HijackThis log and post it as a reply. Let's
see how we did.
Ron

Thanks!  I followed your instructions and here's the new log.  I'm still encountering the same problems.

Looks like I had a bad link to the hoster.  Try:

Extract it and run it.

Thanks, but I had already found the error and found the hoster.zip and ran it.  Above is the log after I did all you instructed including running hoster.

Did the hoster have any problem with the hosts file?  Double check with HijackThis, Misc Tools, Open Hosts File Manager, Open in Notepad.  There should be nothing after the 172.0.0.1 localhost entry unless you have run Spybot and immunized.  Just to be sure, delete everything below the localhost line and File Save and Exit.

Also doublecheck that deldomain.inf worked.  In Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options, Security, Restricted Sites, Sites.  Do you see anything there that looks like Microsoft or your antivirus company?  You might try putting them in the Trusted Sites (Trusted Sites, Sites, Add then *.microsoft.com and uncheck the little box about https before you say OK.)

Start, Run, cmd, OK to bring up a black CMD window.  Type:

nslookup microsoft.com

it should come back with:

something similar to:

Name:    microsoft.com
Addresses:  207.46.250.119, 207.46.130.108

The numbers may change but I expect they will always start with 207.46.

Go back to your browser and try to go to:

Do you get to http://www.microsoft.com/ ?

Repeat for Grisoft.com

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    Grisoft.com
Address:  193.86.103.19

Did you go to the grisoft update site?

I see you are running two antivirus programs.  If McAfee's came with your PC and has expired then you should remove it.  Running two will definitely slow down your pc.

Right click on the clock and select Task manager then processes and then click twice on the CPU at the top of the column.  That will sort the processes by CPU usage.  An idle system should have System Idle at 95% or better.  If not what are the top three users of CPU time?

Do you have enough harddrive space free?
