Can't Find Spyware/Adware files
Norton Antivirus 2004 lists 9 Adware files that it cannot/will not delete. I am told to manually delete these files, but when I search through Windows Explorer, I cannot find the files. I get the file name by left clicking on the Norton file listed.....type it in Explorer and it finds nothing. Help!

Two ways we can settle this...
One, wing it, and try to close the files (which should be running) in Task Manager (CTRL ALT DEL). If you close the right files, you should be able to delete the files. This maneuver is very dangerous, considering the damage some spyware can do to your computer if not removed properly.
Or two, post a logfile of what's running to this thread so we can tell you what to delete, where to delete it from, and how to delete it.
You can do this by clicking the link in my signature entitled "HijackThis". That link will take you to a site where you can download the newest version of HJT. Once downloaded, before you do anything, make a folder on your C:\ drive named "HJT" and extract the .zip file to it. Run the .exe file that is extracted, then click on the "Scan Now" button. Once the scanning has been completed, hit the "Save Log" button, then save the log to the HJT directory. When you get a popup from Notepad with your log, copy and paste it into this thread.
Number 2 is the absolute best, and safest way to go, and I wouldn't even reccomend you even thinking about number 1.
