Can't get pop ups to stop. HELP!

Also, make sure you have "messenger" service disabled. XP service pack 2 default is disabled, but previous service packs have it enabled..

Go to start--Run Type in "services.msc" (without quotes)

Scroll down and look for messenger. Double click, disable, click OK.

Also Click "Stop this service".

messenger service is NOT MSN Messenger.
