Can't uninstall Live One Care

I have a new disk to install my expired One Care with (originally intsalled online). I have tried using the clean up utility to uninstall old expired version, but it says it can't . So it looks like it's not on there until I try to install with new disk, and I get msg saying that I need to uninstall old version first. I'm stuck with no resolution...any ideas? Currently using AVG until I get this fixed...TJ
