Dell inspiron 530S
Hi,
I would like to know what I can do to get my computer free of thousands of Trojan files......i cannot download anything, everything is blocked-my McAfee and Defender
will not work, I tried to get my system restored but it will not work and my Internet connection will not connect. I am work now and will connect at home from my laptop. I have tried numerous things but it only gets worse. I'm guessing I will have to uninstall everything and start over??? I have the Vista Home Edition cd and Drivers and Utilities cd. I'm not sure how to remove everything now. And, can those CDs get infected if I was using them to try and fix this mess. I had my identity stolen and have been trying to take care of that so I am willing to do what is the fastest, safest solution.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Sharon

Hi Sharon,
If you had thousands of Trojan files and a stolen identity, it would be wise to reformat and reinstall the operating system. Otherwise, you can never be sure everything is clean. I believe that would be the fastest, safest solution.
