Dell snipins & skins

Hello. What are Dell snipins and skins? I have dozens on my hard drive. Is it safe to uninstall them? Thanks. I'm technotimid.

I assume you mean snap-ons and skins.

Those are components of a larger program.    Snap-ons are modular software components that are assembled as part of an application.  Skins are sets of files that change how the the program looks - for example, Windows Media Player has several skins (under View) to change its appearance (high tech, nature theme, etc.).

Assuming you're just looking at lists of files in Windows Explorer,  it's not a good idea to delete any of the individual files - it could break the program they're a part of.   However, you could just uninstall the whole program.    If you're looking around in a Dell folder I'm guessing it's something like Dell Dock or Dell Support Center, but could be something else.
