Desktop Icons/Taskbar Keeps Disappearing

Hello, about a week ago, my desktop icons and taskbar started disappearing constantly. Either they show up for about 15 seconds and disappear, or they don't reappear. I cannot right click the background when this happens;all I can do is ctrl-alt-delete and run explorer.exe or something to get it to show again, and even when i do that it still hides and reappears.

Someone please help me with this, I'm getting very frustrated!

 

EDIT: Some program, I assume my AVG, detected a corrupt explorer.exe file and put a yellow triangle icon in the bottom right corner of my screen telling me to run Chkdsk utility. This only happened once and hasn't said anything since.I ran 'chkdsk' from the start menu and after it finishes nothing happens

Please go HERE

And Download SmitFraudFix by S!ri
  • Save it to your Desktop->>
    Double-Click SmitfraudFix.exe (it will create a Smitfraudfix folder on your Desktop)
    When another window opens
    Select 1 and hit Enter to create a report of the infected files.
    WhenFinished the log will open in Notepad, Ctrl+A to copy
    Copy and Paste that log as a reply to this thread
    By default The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt








Do Not run option 2 until instructed to do so

Please note that some Antivirus programs flag process.exe as an infection, but it is actually a needed componient of this tool
