Hello! and welcome to the Dell forums.
-
The version of Internet Explorer your currently using is out of date, and should be upgraded as soon as possible.
Go to www.trendmicro.com, and then:
1. Click " Free Online Scan".
2. Click " Scan now, it's free".
It'll take a few minutes to download (especially with a dialup connection), so be patient. When it's down:
1. Select all available drives.
2. Check(tick) " Auto Clean".
3. Click " Scan".
When it completes, post back the full filename of any files that cannot be cleaned or deleted.
Download, then unzip to " C:\HJT", the newest version of HiJackThis; version 1.99.0. Then repost your log, either now, or after following the steps in the solution ( if provided in this post). This version has features that might help in 'cleaning' up your system.
Now, let's open a command prompt and unregister the dll(s) we're going to remove, by entering the following:
regsvr32 /u javauc32.dll
It's ok, if these aren't found or 'error' out. If you want, just copy and paste the individual lines to the command prompt to save on the typing.
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = about:blank
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C2EE75EA-992E-CDDB-0B7B-8D7B624E19D9} - C:\WINDOWS\javauc32.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [LSASS Authority> lshosts32.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [Web Offer> C:\WINDOWS\system32\ezPopStub.exe /UninstPOP2 C:\Program Files\Web Offer
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click " Fix checked".
Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.

i tried to do all that you said... but encountered some problems... i'm still running all this in safe mode... anyways... i can no longer find internet explorer in safe mode... all that i can use for the internet is mozilla firefox... so i couldn't update my IE or find out where to download it alltogether... also the trendmicro.com wouldn't let me run the scan... after i tried to do it it said i must install a plugin manually, but that just opened a blank firefox window... i did however upgrade my hijackthis and ran a new scan and fixed all the entries i had that you had mentioned earlier... i'm now going to post my new hjt log file:

tgsinodis,
Your more than welcome! Now, let's see what else might be on your system that we need to remove...
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".
Download mwav.exe from MicroWorld, then:
1. Double-click the mwav.exe icon to run it (it'll self extract).
2. Click "Scan".
3. When it completes, post back the results from the 'Virus log information' pane.
Mike.

i also forgot to mention... but now, images, videos, and websites with graphics in general do not load anywhere near as quickly the used to do when usuing mozilla... i have since found IE... when i clicked on a shortcut to it, it said the file couldn't be found and did i want it to search for another IE file... so i did and now i've linked it to "C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386\iexplore.exe"... and it seems to work... however, it is still experiencing the same types of delays as firefox is... let me know if you have any ideas... thanks again!

(If an update isn't available, skip to step #4.)
2. Click "Click here to Download the upate".
3. When the new version has been downloaded, click "Save".
4. Click "Fix ->"
Download, unzip to your desktop About:Buster and run it, then:
Locate About:Buster that you downloaded earlier and run it, then:
1. Click "Update".
2. Click "Check For Update"
(If no new version is available, skip to step #4.)
3. Click "Download Update", and wait for it to be installed.
4. Click "Start".
(Wait for the initial ADS scan to complete.)
5. Click "Yes", to shutdown any IE session currently open.
(Wait for the about:blank scan to complete.)
6. Click "Ok", to scan once more.
7. Click "Yes", to shutdown any IE sessions currently open.
8. Click "Yes", to begin the second pass.
9. Click "Save log", and post this log back along with your new log.
10. Click "Exit".
11. Click "Exit".
Download, then unzip to " C:\HJT", the newest version of HiJackThis; version 1.99.1. Then repost your log, either now, or after following the steps in the solution ( if provided in this post). This version has features that might help in 'cleaning' up your system.
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\zmfmi.dll/sp.html#44768
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\zmfmi.dll/sp.html#44768

O15 - Trusted Zone: *.frame.crazywinnings.com (HKLM)
O15 - Trusted IP range: 206.161.125.149
O15 - Trusted IP range: (HKLM)
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".
Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders:
files...
C:\WINDOWS\system32\zmfmi.dll
-
Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them from "Safe Mode".
Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.

i rebooted in safe mode and deleted all the files that i could find... there were a couple that were listed that weren't there... then i tried to scan using trendmicro, but it wouldn't let me download the scanner... and ever since i tried doing that my internet explorer doesn't work... now the shortcuts are no longer the IE "e" but what looks like a blank window with the blue bar at the top... i don't know what's up with that... i ran CWShredder and got rid of one thing, it was successfully removed... then i downloaded About:Buster and unziped the folder... however, when i tried to open the unziped folder, it wouldn't work... my computer just froze up... also, i can no longer open any explorer type folder such as my computer or my documents... when i do, a window pops up that says, "DrWatson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close."... i have no idea what's going on there... so i was unable to look for that last file, C:\WINDOWS\system32\zmfmi.dll
i did run HJT and here's the latest log:

I not quite sure about that, so what we might want to do is try doing a system restore and see if we can go back to a point where everything worked, then post back a new HiJackThis log and let's start there; also let me know how far you had to go back.
